Who we are
Dance Creative is a registered charity seeking to change lives through dance.
We specialize in supporting older adults and those living with Dementia, Parkinson’s, and other health conditions, and have recently been awarded three years’ lottery funding from the Community Fund to develop our organization and engage more older communities in creative opportunities across Oxfordshire.
Our work includes a county-wide programme of regular dance classes called ‘Dance for Life’, and specialist projects, including a dance piece for theatre , ‘A Million Memories’, which focused on the impact of those living with young Dementia, and a short film called ‘Creative Conversations’, which drew together older communities’ stories, experiences and conversations during the pandemic.
We are looking for a new Chair to join our existing Board of Trustees who can bring their enthusiasm and expertise to our small but ambitious charity and support the Artistic Director as we grow.
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds with experience of chairing a committee, board or similar.
